MEXICO'S DAY OF THE CHILDREN

Every year on the last day of April Mexico has a national celebration just for their children. Toys are distributed, games are played, there are special food treats and of course there is the usual piƱata for everyone to enjoy. The Day Of The Children is an important one for the people, so schools have special programs and events and everyone takes part.

It’s fun to participate in Day Of The Children and see all the excitement. This picture shows what a serious task it is for a child to choose just the right toy among all the colorful items on the table.

Many times we have provided toys and candy for Day Of The Children. Even though we returned to Illinois a little early this year and will not be there for the event, we will be thinking about all the excitement, praying for everyone and planning ahead toward next year. We would like for you to join us in prayer for all the children who live in Mexico, not just on April 30th but throughout the coming year.
