LET'S START WITH THE CHILDREN!

This crowd of children enjoyed an event at the church in Nuevo Progreso.  While there, they heard about Jesus.

Food, music, gifts and games. That's all it takes to entertain and attract children for special events at the church. After everything was finished, the children heard the story of Jesus and how He came to save them and walk with them. The invitation was given for anyone who wanted to ask Jesus into their heart and make a commitment to Him. And then everyone was invited to attend Sunday School so they could learn more about what it means to serve the Lord. Children responded readily to the gospel and with simple faith they opened their hearts to the word.


One of the primary goals of our church is to minister to the children. It's the way to reach a generation, to change a nation. And the simpliest way to minister to children is to introduce them to Jesus. Everywhere He went, Jesus attracted the children with His simple message and His humility and love.

As missionaries our task is simply to take the name of Jesus into all the world. Let's start with the children!

"Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me." Matthew 18:4 & 5

Happy birthday, Esly!  On June 9, Pastor Gerardo and Miriam celebrated their daughter's 9th birthday with a small party at the church in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico.  This special little girl is the youngest of the pastor's four children.

The name Esly means peaceful or tranquil in Spanish, and Esly lives up to her name.  She is as quiet as a kitten and a serious little girl.  She loves to play house with her dolls and loves the new litter of kittens born at the church.  Her most interesting talent is writing songs.  One of her songs is usually heard during offering time at the church.  The theme is:  "God is so good to us!"

Gerardo and Miriam and their children work together in ministry as a team.  Each member of the family plays a part in church services - preaching, singing, playing an instrument or writing the songs.  There is strength in a family that works together for the Lord; and this family is a great testimony and example for the people in Nuevo Progreso.

As quiet as a kitten, Esly has many talents.

"I will praise you, Lord, for everyone to hear, and I will sing hymns to you in every nation."
